What is hypnosis/hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis—also known as hypnotherapy—is a clinical technique that induces a state of deep relaxation and focused attention to facilitate change at a subconscious level. It allows you to bypass the critical, analytical mind and tap into deeper patterns stored in memory and emotion. While in this state, you're not asleep or losing control; instead, you're highly receptive to positive suggestions, imagery, and insight that support healing and transformation.


What is Alchemical Hypnotherapy?

Alchemical Hypnosis blends the therapeutic power of hypnosis with the ancient symbolism and transformative principles of alchemy—not to transmute metals, but to turn inner emotional "lead" into the "gold" of self-realization.

Developed by David Quigley, this method draws on several traditions: Gestalt sub-personality work, inner child healing, Jungian archetypes, emotional release, and inner-guide connection. It empowers you to access your own internal wisdom and healing potential—working with your subconscious guides, rather than relying solely on the therapist.


What a Session with Me Looks Like

Your session is more than just a single appointment—it’s a collaborative journey designed to meet you exactly where you are and guide you toward lasting transformation.

1. Before We Begin – Connection & Clarity

We’ll start with a genuine conversation. I want to get to know you—your goals, challenges, and any questions you may have about hypnosis. This is the foundation of a trusting client-therapist relationship. Together, we’ll decide on a focus for the session, or if you’re unsure, we’ll gently explore and let your subconscious guide the way.

2. Entering the Awakened Trance

Once you’re comfortable, I’ll guide you into an awakened trance state—a deeply relaxed yet aware state of mind where your conscious mind softens, and your subconscious becomes more accessible.

We often begin by traveling to a safe, peaceful space in your inner world. This might be a place from memory, an imagined sanctuary, or somewhere completely new that your mind creates for you. This space becomes the foundation for deeper healing work.

3. The Journey Itself

From this grounded place, we’ll move into the heart of the work. Depending on your needs, this may include:

  • Meeting and working with an Inner Guide or archetype.

  • Inner child rescue and healing of early wounds.

  • Releasing old emotional patterns and beliefs.

  • Past life regression for insight and resolution.

  • Somatic healing to release stored tension or trauma.

The process is interactive—you’re never “out of control.” You’ll be speaking with me, sharing what you experience, and receiving guidance and support as we go.

4. Gently Returning

When our journey is complete, I’ll guide you back to a fully alert state—feeling safe, clear, and refreshed. We’ll take a few moments to talk about your experience and how it connects to your life now.

5. After Your Session – Integration & Support

You’ll receive:

  • A personalized written synopsis of your journey, including my observations and insights.

  • Homework for integration—journaling prompts, creative practices, or mindfulness exercises.

  • Anchors and symbolism drawn from your session to help you reconnect with the healing work in daily life.

  • A session recording (if desired) so you can revisit your journey anytime.

Every session is unique—you may find clarity, emotional release, deep peace, or unexpected insight. Over time, these experiences weave together into lasting transformation, supported by our ongoing collaboration and trust.
